WLAN control usingvia Onvif protocol: Adding ONVIF cameras to be controlled via WAN
1.At Camera Location:
•For commands to flow from outside the network into a camera, ports must be opened
•Contact the network administrator at the camera location to create a port-forwarding rule in the router allowing commands to flow through the necessary ports using these values:
o Source/ external port: 9090 (80 by default, try not to use it, too common, may create conflict, use anyone that is not 80)
o Destination / internal port: 80 (default)
o IP Address: IP Address of the camera
o Protocol: Both (TCP and UDP)
2. At Keyboard location:
• Set the keyboard to DHCP
• Contact the network administrator at the Keyboard location to create a port-forwarding rule in the router allowing commands to flow through the necessary ports using these values:
o Source/ external port: 80 (default)
o Destination / internal port: 80 (default)
o IP Address: IP Address of the keyboard
o Protocol: Both (TCP and UDP)
• Within the Setup menu of the KBD-1010, add the ONVIF camera using the WAN IP of the camera location as the IP Address, click the P/T Speed dial to save.
• Enter the username of the camera, click the P/T Speed dial to save.
• Enter the password of the camera, click the P/T Speed dial to save
• Enter the port for the remote camera: 9090, click the P/T Speed dial to save.
• Exit

Follow the steps to export:
1. Login the Keyboard web interface via IE browser, use the IP address which you can get from the Keyboard Setting>IP Configuration. The user name is admin, password: No password, Keep the field empty.
2. After login, you will get the export & import list, the camera setting data and keyboard setting data need to be exported & imported separately.
3. Access to Export Camera Setting Data page, click Export button, it will start exporting. PLease make sure the keyboard LED OSD is under home screen(not accessing to any setting menu)
4. During the processing of exporting, the keyboard LED screen will display the percentage of the exporting progress, please do not do any operation during the whole exporting progress.
5. After export the data, please save the CameraBackup(or KeyboardBackup) file in your local laptop/PC
6. Keyboard Setting Data exporting operation is same as above.
Follow the steps to import:
1. Setup IP configuration to the new keyboard and login the web interface.
2. Access to Import Camera Setting Data or Import Keyboard Setting Data page.
3. Click Browser button to select the backup file, then click Import button to start importing. It will display the percentage of the importing process on keyboard LED screen.
4. After finishing importing the backup file, the new keyboard configuration will be same as the original one, user doesn’t have to set up the new keyboard from beginning.
NOTE:
1. Before you start keyboard configuration file import, the IP address for the new keyboard has to be configured separately, configuration file export & import does not included IP address migration.
2. The export & import function is only available while the keyboard is under home screen.

The firmware upgrade process is intended to be performed under the supervision of a BOLIN-Authorized repair technician. Instructions:
How to make Tally Light I/O GPI
In order to use the keyboard controller to control the Tally light function among multiple cameras, you need to have the following conditions ready:
1. The cameras are Tally light function supported ready.
2. Video Switch which supports Tally light control function.
3. All cameras been connected in RS422 Daisy Chain mode.
4. Keyboard controller and Video Switch been connected via the Tally Contact port.
Follow the steps to setup:
A. GPI I/O Input mode – Tally signal is sent by Video Switch
1. Make sure cameras and keyboard controller is connected by standard RS422 control cable, keyboard and video switch connected by Tally function cable.
2. Access to KEYBOARD SETTING>GPI I/O>SETTING menu, change it to Input mode, then Exit to home directory.
3. After done the above operations, we can switch to different camera by video switch. for example, if we switch to camera 1 on video switch, it will send Tally signal to keyboard via the Tally function cable, and keyboard will transmit this Tally signal to camera 1 via RS422 control cable, so camera 1 Tally light will be turned on, and keyboard can control camera 1 PTZ.
4. If switch to camera 2 on video switch, camera 2 Tally light will be turned on and camera 1 Tally light will be turned off.
How to make Tally control cable, here we use Sony Mulit Camera Live Producer MCX-500 for example:
B. GPI I/O Output mode -Tally signal is sent by Keyboard Controller
1. Make sure cameras and keyboard controller is connected by standard RS422 control cable.
2. Access to KETBOARD SETTING>GPI I/O>SETTING menu, change it to Output mode, then Exit to home directory.
3. After done the above operations, we can switch to different camera by keyboard. For example, if we switch to camera 1 on keyboard, it will send Tally signal to camera 1 via standard RS422 control cable, so camera 1 Tally light will be turned on, and keyboard can control camera 1 PTZ.
4. If we switch to camera 2 on keyboard, camera 1 Tally light will be turned on and camera 1 Tally light will be turned off.

How to add Visca-Over-IP cameras
In order to successfully add Visca-Over-IP cameras to Bolin KBD-1010-RNV Keyboard Controller, you need have the following conditions ready:
1. The cameras are Visca-Over-IP ready.
2. Connect the keyboard controller and the cameras within the same Local Area Network(LAN).
3. The camera IP address.
4. The control port for Visca over IP. By default, is 52381. Camera maker SONY, BOLIN uses port 52381. Other camera makers may use port 1259. Please consult your camera provider for port information.
5. Payload Header: A set of data carried with Visca-Over-IP protocol for camera compatibility identification. Some Visca-Over-IP cameras don’t have it. The camera maker that has the Payload Header: SONY, BOLIN. For the cameras from these makers, Set it ON. For the cameras from other makers, Set it OFF. Or consult the camera provider.
Follow the steps:
1. Complete the keyboard controller and camera network connection and configuration correctly.
2. Power on all the devices, check the network status works properly with “+” shown at right bottom corner within controller LED display.
3. When you have all the Visca-Over-IP cameras from one camera maker:
3.1 Go to Keyboard setting to set up Visca-Over-IP configuration.
3.2 Payload Header: Refer information above;
3.3 Port: Refer information above;
4. Individually manually adding Visca-Over-IP cameras IP address from Local Area Network (LAN)
4.1 Select the desire Camera ID you want to set to
4.2 Selecting VISCAIP (VISCA over IP) as the protocol;
4.3 Rotate the P/T Speed dial to setup IP address of the camera;
Click the Zoom Speed dial to save.
4.4 Payload Header: Refer information above;
4.5 Port: Refer information above;
5. From IP Search, individually adding Visca-Over-IP cameras IP address from Local Area Network (LAN)
5.1 Scanning local network for available VISCA over IP cameras
5.2 Press the Search button to bring up the Auto Search menu
5.3 Move the cursor to VISCA-IP, Select Yes to start the search
5.4 A list of discovered cameras will appear showing the cameras that have been discovered. Scroll through the discovered cameras using the Zoom Speed dial. To add a camera, press the ADD button
5.5 Assign the camera to a CAM ID by rotating the Zoom Speed dial, Click the Zoom Speed dial to save. Move the cursor to the Title, and use the alphanumeric keypad to give the camera a title, Click the Zoom Speed dial to save.
This keyboard supports any brand of Visca Over IP cameras in a same system.
If you have Visca-Over-IP cameras from more than one camera makers to be used within the same system network:
1. Follow the above steps to find and set up Visca-Over-IP camera individually;
2. To setup the Visca-Over-IP camera port(from different camera makers) differently for different cameras for different camera ID.
3. Save and Exit. camera that you wish to control with the KBD-1010 keyboard.
When the IP camera is successfully assigned to the controller, after you select the camera ID, on the controller LED display will be showing:

1.Direct connection, use T-568B standard pinout network cable (The cable included or you can make one following T-568B standard pin-out):
a.1 to 1 connection – Follow the pinout for the RS422 port on the keyboard to use CAT5/6 cable to make a cable suitable for controlling your camera.
b.1 to 1 connection, Use Junction Box, – Follow the pinout for the RS422 port on the keyboard and Junction Box to use CAT5/6 cable (follow T-568B standard pinout between keyboard and Junction Box) to make a cable suitable for controlling your camera via Junction Box.

How to use IP Finder to find IP camera information?
1.Download the IPC Search tool from the www.bolintechnology.com
2.Unzip the file and configure your laptop in the same subnet as camera’s, run the IP Search Tool on your laptop/pc, it will automatically get the list of all cameras that located in the same network.
3.You will have the MAC address, IP address, Camera name(Type), Serial number ,Version of the cameras listed.

Follow the steps to make the FW upgrade:
1.Prepare a USB flash drive
(Formatted as FAT32)
2.Download the latest version
firmware from website
3.Load the xxx.bin file onto the
flash drive, and must rename the
file as “KEYBOARD.bin”
4.With the keyboard powered off,
insert the flash drive to the USB
port on the back panel of the
keyboard.
5. Hold down the L/R Direction knob and the U/D Direction Knob
6. While holding the knobs down, power on the keyboard by clicking the power button into the
“On” position and keyboard will display a confirmation that the upgrade is taking place
7. When the upgrade is finished, power cycle the keyboard.

MCU firmware is upgraded via camera’s IP web interface. It processes the same way as how camera IP firmware is upgraded but using MCU software file.
Follow the steps to make the IP FW upgrade:
Login to the camera IP address. Use our IP finder if there is trouble locating the IP address of the camera. Only IE (Internet Explorer) browser is supported.
- Click Setup near the top middle of the window
- Click System on the left-hand side
- Click on Maintenance in the System submenu
- Under MCU Upgrade, click Browse and select the correct upgrade file. Download the latest file from bolintechnology.com
- Select the upload button to start the upgrade process. This process can take anywhere from 15 – 20 minutes.
- Click ok to confirm upgrade one more time. The camera will restart automatically after the upgrade is completed. Please do not reboot the camera or unplug the camera from its power source during the whole updating operation.
- Once the progress bar is gone the upgrade should be completed. Refresh and relog into the camera to review if upgrade is successful via the OSD
Note: If there is any abnormal behavior after the upgrade, please perform a Factory Reset to the camera via the OSD menu prior to contacting the seller or Bolin support, thank you.

A. Add camera IP interface URL to Trusted Sites
1. Click browser’s Tools button (alt+X), select the internet option;
2. Access to Security page, there has Trusted Sites option, click Sites button and add this website to the zone;
3. Please make sure the “Require server verification (https:)for all sites in this zone” option box is unchecked.
4. After done, close the setting menu, and now you are ready for upgrade.
B. FW Upgrade
1. Login camera IP interface, access to System Settings > Maintenance page;
2. Click “Browse…” button, select the IP firmware file, and click Remote Update button.
3. The firmware upgrade including two steps:
1) Upload the firmware file to the camera IP module, it will display a percentage progress bar to indicate the upload status on the page.
2) Firmware burning and updating, there will be a new progress bar, the burning and updating process takes about 3 to 5 minutes. Please do not power off or reboot the camera during the whole upgrading process, until the page prompt “Upgrade is successful…”
4. Once the upgrade is successful, the page will prompt “Upgrade is successful. Are you sure you want to restart the device now?”, please click OK button to reboot the camera.
5. The camera should reboot by itself and re-initiate. If the device does not do so within 2 minutes after clicking OK on the Upgrade successful prompt, please manually power cycle the camera.

- Feel free to refresh the browser to log back in once the window says “Upgraded Successfully. Please log in.”
NOTE:
- The correct upgrade file must be used for the camera. Otherwise, unexpected results may occur.
- The upgrade file is a ZIP file and must include all the necessary files. Do not unzip this file, the upgrade procedure requires the file to remain in the ZIP file condition.
- The boot program loads the operating system and then the system starts running. The upgrade boot program function is disabled by default, and only the camera will be upgraded to the latest version. If enabled, both the camera and the boot program are upgraded, and the operating system of the following new versions can be booted properly, and the camera can be upgraded conveniently.
- Ensure that the power supply is normal during upgrade. The device will restart after the upgrade is completed.

5. Please do not power off or reboot the camera during the whole upgrading process, until after clicking OK on the page prompt “The program has been upgraded”.

Follow the steps to make the IP FW upgrade:
Log into the camera via its IP. If there is trouble locating the IP of the camera, please use the IP Finder tool to locate its IP address or contact your network administrator.
Default user: admin
Default password: admin
Once logged in, click on firmware upgrade on the left-hand side.
This page shows informative information regarding the camera:
- Control version – display the camera current control version
• Device Name – the name of this camera model, you also can see it on the top left corner of any page.
• Serial Number – The unique serial number after the camera is produced, each camera’s serial number is different, and cannot be changed.
• Bootloader Version – To display the camera’s current bootloader version
• System Version – To display the camera’s current system version
• App version – To display the camera’s current App version
• Upgrade – You can upgrade the camera version when there has new firmware available.
Note: New firmware file can be obtained from BOLIN Technology website
How to Upgrade:
- Click “Select File” button
- Navigate to the file (.bin) obtained from bolintechnology.com
- Click on the newly appeared upgrade button to start the upgrade
- There will be a progress bar with % indication, please do not attempt to operate the camera or power off the camera at this time.
- It takes a few minutes for the camera to come back online after the progress bar is at 100%
- After the upgrade is complete it will prompt user to log in again.

How to upgrade your camera from FHD to 4K: The FHD-4K upgrade license is sold separately.
1. Please contact your local dealer where you bought the camera from or Bolin sales team for help with purchasing the upgrade license.
2. The MAC Address from OSD menu of the camera that you want to upgrade and provide it to Bolin tech-team via your seller.
3. A FPGA firmware with license included will be provided to you. This FPGA firmware is tied to the camera’s MAC address and will only work for the camera that has been requested to be upgraded.
4. The FHD-To-4K license upgrade firmware can be installed to the camera via IP network.
5. Connect and configure your camera with your local network successfully. Go into the camera OSD menu, locate the Network Menu showing MAC Address, stay with the menu shown.
6. Login to the camera IP web interface, go to System > Maintenance section to upgrade the firmware. This process may take anywhere from 5-10 minutes.
7. Check the video for 4K resolution (2160p) from OSD menu and from your 4K display device to confirm the 4K License Upgrade has been successfully applied.

1. Click browser’s Tools button (alt+X), select the internet option;
2. Access to Security page, there has Trusted Sites option, click Sites button and add this website to the zone;
3. Please make sure the “Require server verification (https:)for all sites in this zone” option box is unchecked.
4. After done, close the setting menu, and now you are ready for upgrade.
B. FW Upgrade
1. Login camera IP interface, access to System Settings > Maintenance page;

5. The camera should reboot by itself and re-initiate. If the device does not do so within 2 minutes after clicking OK on the Upgrade successful prompt, please manually power cycle the camera.

Follow the steps to make the IP FW upgrade:
1.Connect and configure your camera with your local network successfully.
2.Log in to the camera IP web interface
3.Go to System, Maintenance section to upgrade the firmware.
4.How to login to the camera IP web interface and how to make the firmware upgrade, please refer to User Manual Part Two.
Internet Explorer 11 browser is the only browser supported.
The camera IP interface URL must be added to the Internet Explorer 11 browser’s Trusted Sites before to start IP firmware upgrade, otherwise, you will be prompted that the firmware file cannot be opened.
A. Add camera IP interface URL to Trusted Sites
1. Click browser’s Tools button (alt+X), select the internet option;
2. Access to Security page, there has Trusted Sites option, click Sites button and add this website to the zone;
3. Please make sure the “Require server verification (https:)for all sites in this zone” option box is unchecked.
4. After done, close the setting menu, and now you are ready for upgrade.
B. FW Upgrade
1. Login camera IP interface, access to System Settings > Maintenance page;
2. Click “Browse…” button, select the IP firmware file, and click Remote Update button.
3. The firmware upgrade including two steps:
1) Upload the firmware file to the camera IP module, it will display a percentage progress bar to indicate the upload status on the page.
2) Firmware burning and updating, there will be a new progress bar, the burning and updating process takes about 3 to 5 minutes. Please do not power off or reboot the camera during the whole upgrading process, until the page prompt “Upgrade is successful…”
4. Once the upgrade is successful, the page will prompt “Upgrade is successful. Are you sure you want to restart the device now?”, please click OK button to reboot the camera.
5. The camera should reboot by itself and re-initiate. If the device does not do so within 2 minutes after clicking OK on the Upgrade successful prompt, please manually power cycle the camera.

VCC-M2 Series FHD USB Studio PTZ Camera FW Upgrade – IP

Follow the steps to make the IP FW upgrade:
Log into the camera via its IP. If there is trouble locating the IP of the camera, please use the IP Finder tool to locate its IP address or contact your network administrator.
Default user: admin
Default password: admin
Once logged in, click on firmware upgrade on the left-hand side.
This page shows informative information regarding the camera:
- Control version – display the camera current control version
• Device Name – the name of this camera model, you also can see it on the top left corner of any page.
• Serial Number – The unique serial number after the camera is produced, each camera’s serial number is different, and cannot be changed.
• Bootloader Version – To display the camera’s current bootloader version
• System Version – To display the camera’s current system version
• App version – To display the camera’s current App version
• Upgrade – You can upgrade the camera version when there has new firmware available.
Note: New firmware file can be obtained from BOLIN Technology website
How to Upgrade:
- Click “Select File” button
- Navigate to the file (.bin) obtained from bolintechnology.com
- Click on the newly appeared upgrade button to start the upgrade
- There will be a progress bar with % indication, please do not attempt to operate the camera or power off the camera at this time.
- It takes a few minutes for the camera to come back online after the progress bar is at 100%
- After the upgrade is complete it will prompt user to log in again.

Follow the steps to make the FW upgrade:
1.Prepare a USB flash drive (Formatted as FAT32)
2.Download the latest version firmware from website
3.Load the V2-xxxx-MCU-xxx.bin file onto the flash drive, and must rename the file “HD20.bin”
4.With the camera powered off, insert the flash drive to the USB port on the back panel of the camera (Audio port).
5.Apply power to the camera.
6.There will be a light indicator on the right-hand side of the camera’s lens that will briefly turn orange, and then camera will initiate as normal.
7.Check the firmware version data on the OSD System screen to verify if the upgrade has been successfully applied.

How to use IP Finder to find IP camera information?
1.Download the IPC Search tool from the www.bolintechnology.com
2.Unzip the file and configure your laptop in the same subnet as camera’s, run the IP Finder Tool on your laptop/pc, it will automatically get the list of all cameras that located in the same network.
3.You will have the MAC address, IP address, Camera name, Camera model, Serial number of the cameras listed.

How to upgrade your camera from FHD to 4K: The FHD-4K upgrade license is sold separately.
1. Please contact your local dealer where you bought the camera from or Bolin sales team for help with purchasing the upgrade license.
2. The MAC Address from OSD menu of the camera that you want to upgrade and provide it to Bolin tech-team via your seller.
3. A FPGA firmware with license included will be provided to you. This FPGA firmware is tied to the camera’s MAC address and will only work for the camera that has been requested to be upgraded.
4. The FHD-To-4K license upgrade firmware can be installed to the camera via IP network.
5. Connect and configure your camera with your local network successfully. Go into the camera OSD menu, locate the Network Menu showing MAC Address, stay with the menu shown.
6. Login to the camera IP web interface, go to System > Maintenance section to upgrade the firmware. This process may take anywhere from 5-10 minutes.
7. Check the video for 4K resolution (2160p) from OSD menu and from your 4K display device to confirm the 4K License Upgrade has been successfully applied.

Please upgrade IP firmware first, if you want to upgrade both IP firmware and MCU firmware
Follow the steps to make the IP FW upgrade:
- Connect PC to the keyboard via LAN.
- Find IP address of the keyboard in the menu Keyboard Setting>Model Info.
- If the IP number is VA.x.x at the bottom of the keyboard display, use the .img file to upgrading the keyboard. If you are unsure which file to use contact your seller or a BOLIN technician for assistance.
- If it is V2.x.x at the bottom of the keyboard display use the .csf file for upgrading the keyboard. If you are unsure which file to use contact your seller or a BOLIN technician for assistance.
- Login IP web interface via IE (Internet Explorer) browser using the IP address you found with the keyboard in step 2. (Default User Name: admin, Password: Keep the field empty).
- The firmware should be like “Bolin_20190919_v2.8.6.csf” or “CAM-00-IP-A10.img” type of file.
DO NOT RENAME these files.
- Upgrade the firmware by following the indication.
- How to make the firmware upgrade, please refer to User Manual Part Two.
- Check the upgraded firmware version number in the menu Keyboard Setting>Model Info.
